Vision: Gifts In
Action is the central resource for people to get connected with a
personal ministry within the Church, using their God-given gifts
and skills to serve the Lord with natural energy and joy.
(What we
are doing? How we will implement the Vision)
Mission: Gifts In
Action manages an on-going and complete system to engage church
leadership (to understand ministry needs) and people (to
understand unique volunteer gifts, talents and passions) which
then connects both in manner that allows for effective, rewarding
and long-term gift-based service.
GOAL: Each member would have a Personal
Area of Ministry.
A Personal Area of Ministry is a job that you would
take complete ownership of. You would think, What needs to be done
with this? What would make this better? What Is not working and
needs to be fixed? What is coming up that I need to take care of?
How can I use this area of ministry to support TOL and Christ's
mission to Share the Word? What can I be responsible for? It is
about taking the first step, going the extra mile. Being through
and complete in this area, making sure the needs of this ministry
are met. It is you going to the leadership with needs and
requests, rather than leadership needing to make requests and
asking you to do things. It is making this area of ministry a
vital and working part of the body so that no one else needs to
think about it. It is how your passion comes out and your heart is
focused and you glorify God with your time, treasures and actions
through this personal area.
