Welcome to the MY Gifts in Action site! We are glad you are here to explore. The Gifts in Action is a program set up to support members and ministry.

We desire to provide a central resource for people to get connected with a personal ministry within the Church, using their God-given gifts and skills to serve the Lord with natural energy and joy.

Through managing an on-going and complete system to engage church leadership (to understand ministry needs) and members/people (to understand unique volunteer gifts, strenghts, talents and passions) we seek to connect both in manner that allows for effective, rewarding and long-term gift-based service/ministry.

Discovering My Spiritual Gifts

Just as each of us has one body with many members,
and these members do not all have the same function,
so in Christ we who are many form one body,
and each member belongs to all the others.
We have different gifts, according to the grace given us.
Romans 12:3-6a

Why?

Do you remember the parable Jesus taught about the talents? He used this parable to encourage us to use the gifts that God has given us. The saddest figure in the parable is the man who received one talent and buried it in the ground. He was not faithful to his master and did not make use of what was given to him. Besides the gifts of faith, forgiveness, and eternal life, God has also given to each Christian special spiritual gifts. He invites us to make use of these gifts in our lives of service to Him and to our neighbor.
